The Riverhead Girls Lacrosse once again holding their “Egg My House” fundraiser when the eggs are delivered and hidden the night before Easter approximately 9 pm to midnight. Donation is $25 for 50 eggs and if you are interested let them know as soon as possible as the deadline is Monday, April 3. Any questions email riverheadgirlslaxbooster@gmail.com. The children are so delighted the Easter bunny made it to their home and set the eggs all around. Go Blue Waves!
The next Friends of the Riverhead Free Library meeting will be held on Monday, April 10 at 1 pm. Won’t you join this group of Friends who promote the resources and services of the library by financially supporting programs of general interest for all. The yearly donation is $10 for membership and there is so many ways to help out if you are interested. The Yellow Barn always in need of help, as well as, being on a reception committee when functions are held for the public to attend. The Yellow Barn at the Riverhead Free Library re-opens in Wednesday, April 19 from 9 am to 2 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Be sure to check it out when looking for books to read this spring and summer. Donations will be accepted beginning on Monday, April 17 so clean out your bookshelves and donate to the Friends of the Riverhead Free Library so others may enjoy good reading.
Enjoy a concert when pianist Maxim Anikushim will perform a memorial concert to honor lifelong library supporter Lois Pike Eyre on Sunday, April 16 from 2 pm to 3 pm. Do you need to shred your documents? Well paper shredding is just A Shred Away, Inc, a company hired to shred your documents at the Riverhead Free Library on Tuesday, April 4 from 4:45 pm to 7:45 pm in the Riverhead Free Library parking lot. They will assist you with your shredding needs.
The Riverhead Free Library budget and trustee election vote takes place on Tuesday, April 4 from 10 am to 8 pm at the library, 330 Court Street in Riverhead. Check out their proposed budget on the library website for the 2023-2024 year.

Save the dates by marking your calendars for the FRNCA (Flanders, Riverside, Northampton Community Association) meetings to be held during the 2023 year. The dates are April 12, May 10, June 14, no July meeting, August 9, September 13, October 11 and November 8. Meetings are held at the David W. Crohan Community Center, 655 Flanders Road in Flanders.
The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau and East End Thrive are now accepting submissions for their “Creative Arts” contest. This year’s theme is “Hope and Recovery” and artists are encouraged to share their interpretation through art of what “Hope and Recovery” looks like. Accepted art submissions include photography, graphic art, sculpture, and free-hand. The contest is open to ages 10 years old through 25 years old and participants must reside or attend school within the Town of Southampton. Artwork will be judged on quality, creativity, and presentation based on the artists’ interpretation of “Hope and Recovery”. All art entries (maximum of two entries per artist) must be dropped off at the Southampton Youth Bureau’s main office at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road or East End Thrive, 110 Mill Road Suites A & B by Friday, May 19. Participating artists are invited to bring their families and friends to attend the final exhibition at the Southampton Cultural Center, 25 Pond Lane on Friday, June 2 from 6 pm to 7 pm. Prizes will be awarded to the “Best Art Piece” in age categories of 10-13, 14-18, and 19-25.
